Skills

Skills are the various specialties that your character possesses, and when prompted by your GM, you'll have to roll Skill Checks and Skill Saves. Checks are your ability to act with those skills, and Saves are your ability to avoid, resist, or endure something with those skills.

Force Athletics Strength, Pushing/Pulling/Lifting ability
Perception Intellect Insight, Pattern Recognition, Detection
Reasoning Intellect Logic, Calculations, Estimations and Recollection
Persuasion Heart Deception, Smooth-talking, Performance
Cooking Heart Culinary ability, food-centric prowess
Constitution Fortitude Physical resistance, Stamina, Endurance
Willpower Fortitude Mental resistance, Self Control

Combat Skills are Skills that only apply to Combat, or nay instance in which your character means to confront or inflict harm upon something.

Finesse Ability to act efficiently
Safety Ability to minimize risk to self

When making a Skill Check/Save, it's usually against a DC, or Difficulty Class. The higher the DC, the more difficult the task is. Meeting or exceeding the DC will result in a success, while rolling lower than it will result in a failure.
